Equipment Description
The unit comprises an extraction tank, a shell-and-tube heater, an evaporator, a condenser, an oil separator, an oil collector, a chemical pump, a metering tank, a storage tank, a filter, a vacuum pump, and a power distribution cabinet. Demisters are installed at the vapour outlets of both the extraction tank and the evaporator. For units without steam heating, a thermal oil heating system can be added as an option.
The equipment can perform hot reflux extraction and concentration, conventional extraction and concentration, water precipitation (or alcohol precipitation), percolation, and other similar operations. It is capable of operating under negative pressure, atmospheric pressure, or positive pressure, and is suitable for water, alcohol, or solvent extraction. The design complies with GMP requirements.
This pilot‑scale unit offers a broad operating range and combines multiple functions with good energy efficiency. It is well suited for research institutes, universities, and factory pilot laboratories, particularly for extracting and concentrating valuable pharmaceuticals or for low‑temperature processing of fresh plant materials.
